Work Safely in the Construction Industry
Course Duration 6 Hours:
Approved by the Foundation for Safety, this course offers an easy to understand presentation covering all aspects of Occupational Health & Safety in the Work Place. The course provides a basic introduction to Work place Health & Safety which is the Employers responsibility to provide for all Employees in accordance with the Victorian OH&S Act—2004.

- The Employers Responsibilities
- Employee Responsibilities
- Identification of Hazards in the Work Place
- Risk Control
- Health & Safety Representatives Roles
- Provisional Notices of Improvement (Pin)
- Codes of Practice e.g. Prevention of Falls
- Site Safety Signage
- Work Place Harassment
- Noise / Hearing Protection
- Manual Handling
- Hazardous Substances
- PPC&E
- Confined Spaces
- Industry Knowledge
- e.g. Workers compensation.
A Question & answer session follows the formal presentation of the course, this provides and opportunity for Trainees to have specific questions relating to their role in the work place answered in a one on one by the training provider. A Statement of Attainment will be issued at completion of the course and a National White Card will be issued to each Trainee completing the course by WorkSafe Victoria.
Make sure you bring along a current Photo ID of yourself on the day (Drivers Licence or Pass Ports etc) This enables us to process the ordering of your Construction Induction Card through WorkSafe Victories
There are no pre-requisites or co-requisites for this competency unit other than Basic English and where required RMF can assist Trainees with any special needs they may have regarding the undertaking of this course of training.
